Acne Vulgaris: causes, treatment

Acne is a disease that every person faces during his or her life. In science this disease is called acne vulgaris. Studies show, that about 85% of the total population have suffered teenage acne. Acne vulgaris is widespread among women, who have to fight this skin disease up to their middle ages. Women are acne-prone due to some peculiarities of their body: they tend to have acne because of the cycles, their body has, and hormones. Men are amenable to acne under the influence of increased stress levels.

The reason of acne occurrence can be easily explained: it appears when dead skin cells and oil foul pores of the skin. Such conditions are favorable for the growth and the development of bacteria. So when bacteria get into plugged pores, it causes infection.  Under the influence of certain hormones, too much oil is produced. A combination of bacteria and such undue amounts of oil lies under the skin, then it infiltrates into the skin and causes an inflammation. The inflammation looks like lump which is red and contains pus; it can be either blackhead or whitehead. In spite of the fact, that acne vulgaris was firstly found long time ago, it is still an insufficiently known disease. Doctors haven’t found one single treatment for acne. The patient, who suffers from acne, needs to follow the pass of trials and errors, trying many different treatments, before they find the one, which helps to cure this disease. This pass often causes frustration among people with acne. It is also disappointing, that even if you’ve found treatment, which works for you, your skin need much time to show any improvements. There are different remedies for this disease, which will heal all types of it, even the most severe ones. It’s better to start searching acne vulgaris treatment as soon as possible, because rather fast the condition of it becomes worse. You should remember that if your acne is severe, it is more likely to leave permanent scars, so try not to delay healing. Still if you already have scars, you may try to find treatment to remove them or live your life, having scars. After the years of suffering acne, this is a difficulty, which you won’t like to face. To get a better chance of absolute recovery with no scars, try to prevent acne from reaching the severe stage. If you are down with acne, it’s of great importance for you to search treatment that will stop the development of the disease and change its condition for the better. Do your best to find the proper treatment for acne. This will give to you an opportunity to live your further life with no signs of acne vulgaris and scars, which it may leave to you.

Acne inflammation: Get Some Tips to Prevent and Reduce Acne

Many people believe that acne appears on dirty skin, but that’s not true. In fact, the appearance of acne is caused by reasons, which you often can’t keep in check. Among such reasons are hormones, the production of which is not under your control, and the way your skin gets renewed. Still the influence of some factors could be controlled, and it will help you to reduce acne formation. How to learn about these factors? Follow these tips and you will get to know about what care your acne skin needs.

Tip#1: Remember, that dirty skin doesn’t cause acne to occur. So don’t try to wash your skin too often – come to nothing more than two times a day. If you’ll try to exceed this limit, your clear skin may get dry while your acne skin may be irritated. If washing your skin too often is a customary activity for you, be ready, that your body may start to produce too much oil. It will develop into the forthcoming of even more acne pimples.

Tip#2: Use only smooth scrubs. Make sure that your exfoliant doesn’t contain apricot or almond pieces – they’re too harsh. Instead choose scrubs with very small and smooth pieces, because harsh ones may scratch your skin and intensify acne inflammation.

Tip#3: Take a shower every time after exercising. Heavy exercising makes your body get warmer and sweat, friction occurs in the place of the contact of your skin with clothes and sports equipment. These factors create a good environment for the growth and distribution of bacteria. In order to prevent acne from occurrence, you need to wash your skin immediately after a workout.

Tip#4: Don’t touch your face! Bacteria, which motivate acne pimples to occur, normally live on your hands. To cause inflammation, they need to get inside a hair follicle. So whenever you touch your face (rubbing it or even resting your chin), there is a risk of acne inflammation.

Tip#5: Be careful! Don’t try to squeeze or pierce your defects on the skin. Squeezing or piercing them with your nails, needles or other sharp items causes the further penetration of infection into your skin. The inflammation will enlarge; the skin around the inflammation will take a greater injury. In this case you are much more likely to have a scar, which would not disappear.

Tip#6: Make sure your cosmetics don’t contain any alcohol. When choosing a product which is used to reduce the oiliness of the skin, make certain that it doesn’t have rubbing or isopropyl alcohol. Being an astringent, alcohol leaves your skin without its top layer, and that’s why your body tries to bring forth more oil. So after using cosmetics, which comprise alcohol, your skin becomes dry and irritated. It results in the additional risk of having inflammations.

How to prevent acne? Decide on your routine and adhere to it. There’s a wide list of “over-the-counter” drugs (the drugs that you can buy without a prescription), which may help you to reduce acne. If your acne isn’t severe, there’s much hope that one of these drugs will help you. So start to treat it as soon as possible, not waiting till the moment, when your acne condition changes for the worse. In this case you can expect a good result, and you won’t face all the physical and emotional problems, which acne brings out.
